Halcon Steel Ltd manufactures corrugated and box profile PVC and polyester sheeting. These agricultural roofing products were sold mainly to the local domestic & commercial markets, but as exports and domestic sales increased the company realised it had to recruit new employees. As the company expanded it needed to review the finance function role and plan for further future growth.

The company had a requirement for monthly management reporting and KPI analysis as it now had several income streams.

Smart Fusion arranged a complete IT audit including hardware and software. We analysed the companies’ current requirements and matched them with their longer term business objectives. This audit helped to confirm that the current accounting system (TAS Books) could be upgraded and adapted for multiple workstations with all users sharing the same data that was saved on a server. We upgraded, configured and customised the software to reflect the business’ needs. We also provided on-going on-site training for all users.

Rolling out the software & training the end users provided the company with a centralised system with instant access to the departmental reports required by management. Weekly KPI meetings have become an integral growth driver within the company as everybody has embraced the new information the software has to offer.
